As seen on the updated IEEE 802.3 HSSG Objectives, 100Gbps Ethernet will be aimed at as next Ethernet speed increase.
The frame format and size limits will remain and distances of 10km for single mode fibre (SMF) and 100m for multi mode fibre (MMF) are envisioned.

If I am not mistaken, 40G Ethernet and 80G Ethernet options are no longer taken into consideration.
