Standards for 100 Gigabit/s Ethernet (members only)

Would anyone have info about what fiber to use in a campus to be 100 g ready for distances between 300 and 1000m.

Dear Mr. Ghossoub,
I would recommend 50 μm single mode LX fibre cabling due to the mentioned 1000m distance.

I think today's 100G can transmit around 1500 km over single mode fiber.

I reckon 40k on SMF is what is aimed for in the upcoming standard.
